NAVY LEAGUE'S WAR FUND APPEAL.
The committee of the Navy League's War Fund Appeal met last night," Mr Alex. Boyle presiding.
It was decided to return thanks to all who assisted in making Xavy Day a success. Tho chairman said that soiup of the ladies had done magnificent work, ho :tlso referred in eulogistic terms to tho success of Mr E. C. Bishop's novelty stall. It waa also decided to thank the Queen's Theatre orchestra for their concert last Sunday evening, and aloO the members of theatrical companies who assisted on Navy Day. The secretary (Mr C. .7. Troleaven) reported that Mr J. B. Laurenson had offered to net a; honorary organiser end was prepared to start noxt week. Mr liaurenson's offer was accepted with thanks. Mr A. S. Clftrkson reported that tickets in tho motor-car art union totalling XI2G were sold last Friday. The ca r is to bo on view at the Show on Friday, and is to be on view in Cathedral square on Friday and Saturday nights till December 20th, when th& art union will be drawn.
3Jr "VY. Alorley reported that the TVoolston Tanneries had voted £100 to the fund.
