The "Observer" says: "The immortals on Gallipoli have been vindicated. Australia, New Zealand, Britain, and India realise that the heroes of 1915 wrought better than lias hitherto been recognised. The Gallipoli expedition was the best holding force in Europe. In proportion 'to its strength it inflicted more d&mage than any other forco, lb did more to melt down the strength of the Turks than all the fighting since. It was ono of the greatest adventures of the British race."
