THE GERMAN FLEET.
WILL IT COME OUT? (By Cable—Press Association.— Copyright.. (Australian and N-Z. Cable Association-) (Received November 4th, ' -15 p.m.) LONDON, November 3. The newspapers are discussing the possibility of the German fleet coming out. Some writers consider that the concentration of submarines indicates important activities. Commander Rellairs states that Ger- 3 many may act before the Allied fleet is released from duty in the Mediterranean. Another writer says that the bulk of Germany's 150 submarines are already back at their bases for a possible naval i sortie. When these were returning : they avoided British ships. Mr Archibald Hurd believes that a ; Black Sea battle is improbable owing to th© Allies' great superiority. Other writers estimate that Germany's Black Sea Navy consists of the Goeben, two or throo cruisers, a dozen destroyers, and seven or more submarines.
