She is carrying cargo from Wanganui to Dunedin. The b.oktn epars from the scow Hazel Kepton,_ which came into the stream at Lyttelton ior shelter on Thursday night, were brought aehore by the Pcrau to be repaired. The Corinna has been further delayed at Lyttelton by bad weather, and is now timed to sail North this afternoon. Captain Hales, who flas been wharfinger for tho Union Steam Ship Company at Greymonth for 11 years, has received notice of his transfer,to Sydney. Prior to .going to Greymouth Captain Hales had charge of the Union Company's steamer Mahinapua, and before that be was in command of the Moe- ; ralu and Oonah. During their etfty in Greymouth, Captain and Mrs Hales have taken a keen interest in the affairs of the town (says tho "Star"). Mrs Hales has been very prominent in musical circles.
