A BRITISH WARNING
(Received January Ilth, 12.5 a.m.) WASHINGTON, January 9.
The British Government notified tho United States that if American merchant-; persisted in exporting woollen products to Germany and Austria, th© modification of the embargo on wool whereby Australian wool is allowed to enter tho United States will bo promptly withdrawn.
The State Department admitted that th*. raising of tbe omb„r-;n would not be justifiable if American manufacturer.; used it to supply German markets. Similar complaints were mado respecting rubber.
