MEETING OF EXECUTIVE.
A special meeting of the Executive of the Belgium Week Fund was held last night. Present—Mr F. C. Raphael (chairman), Mesdames Palmer (secretary), and Rolleston, Miss Tabart, Messrs F. R. Bushell, Solomons, and C. Ward, Dr. Inglis, and the Rev. 3fr Hawdon.
The following motion. Tvas passed : — "That the Canterbury Jockey Club and the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club be respectfully asked to contribute a percentage of the net profits of their Meetings during Carnival Week. The committee ask this special favour, as all moneys contributed and collected during the Carnival Week are especially earmarked for the starving people in Belgium."
A general invitation bag been extended by Mrs Rollestou to tho Boy Scouts and the members of the Cadet Bugle Band, who havo been collecting in aid of the Bolgium Fund, to attend Barton's Circus to-morrow ovening. Those intending to be present are asked to meet in uniform outside the Dominion Buildings at 7.13 p.m.
