On Saturday the annual social in connexion with the local Cricket Ciub was held in tho Hall. It being a fine night, them was an excellent attendance, and a most onjoyabl? evening's entertainment was providei. items woro contributed by Miss V. Tanner, Miss l>. Flumridgo, and Messrs A. Burnett, W. Dumpleton, H. Watson, S. Peryman, L. Peryman, G. Mui-ray, and R. Oram. During the evening the trophies »vn by members during the past season were presented by tho president (Mr H. E. Peryman) as follow:—Best batting average (president's bat), H. Haughey; best bowling average (Mr H. Watson's bat), A. Baruett; best fielding during tho season (club's medal). H. Watson. The ladies provided supper, after whi«h dancing was indulged in till midnight.
