CYCLE TRADE PICNIC.
The cycle trade picnic wae held at Waihora Park, Motukarara, on Saturday. The weather was splendid, and everything went off woll. Details of the events are as follow : — Cycle Trade Handicap, ___Oyds—McKay 1, Joyce 2, Velvin 3. Single Ladies' Race, under 18 years—Miss Milne 1, Miss Cameron 2, Miss Hanson 3. Sack Race, 50yds— W. Legit 1, Miller 2, Howell 3. Youths' Race, under 18 years—H. Ford 1, Howell 2, Low 3. Human Wheelbarrow Race —Hill and Booth 1, Loader and Kiddey 2. Bandsmen.. Race, 100yds—Twiner 1, Harris 2, Barber 3. Ladies' Race, over 18 years—Miss W_lker 1, Mrs Branch 2, Miss Leslie 3. Married Men's Race, 100yds—Mahnewcy 1, Stevens 2, C. Bell 3. Visitors' Open Handicap, lOOyds—Green 1, Thurston 2, Gerard 3. Married Ladies' Race—Mrs Branch 1, Mrs Willoughby 2, Mrs Lowe 3. 100 yds Championship—J. Kiddey 1, Moseley 2, Velvin 3. Tfcread-tbe-Noedle Race—M'Kayi 1, Lowe 2. Throe-legged Race, 100 yds— Kiddey snd Oldridge 1, M'Kay and Hill 2. Committeemen's Race —C. Orr 1, C. Lowe 2, C. Bell 3. The tug-of-war, married men v. single, was won by tho bachelors. The 880yd_t relay race, wholesale v. retail, was won by the latter.
