VENTURA MEETS HURRICANE

ISLANDS THREATENED.

A wireless message reports that the Ventura is in a hurricane 250 miles distant from Taviuni, which advises that thero was a heavy blow, with lOin. of rain, last night. No damage is yet reported. Suva is threatened, and alarm signals have been hoisted. The glass is steadily falling. SUVA ESCAPES., (Received March 13th. 10.40 p.m.) SUVA, March 13. The hurricane passed south-west ot Suva. The Lav group and Samoa will probably be affected.

There is no further news from the Ventura.
