"LET THEM STARVE."
There is a widespread demand for more severity towards tho militants. Some letters appearing in tho newspapers suggest that tho militants be allowed to starve themselves in prison, instead of being forcibly fed or released. A magistrate commented on the anomaly of the maximum punishment of six months for damaging works of art, and eighteen months for smashing windows.
