PREBBLETON.
On Friday evening last' a farewell social was tendered in the Public Library to Miss M. Dobson, who has been assistant mistress nt the Prebbleton School for the last two years. Mr H. Paterson. chairman of vim committee, on behalf of the residents, presented Miss Dobson with a silver tray and tea service, expressing regret a? hhir departure, and wishing her all happiness in her future married life. At a subsequent meeting of the committee. Miss C. L. Ferguson was chosen to fill the vacancy.
