COALGATE MARKET.
At Coalgato market on Friday the entry of sheep totalled 900, and with tho exception of about 50 were in the store pens and consisted of crossbred ewes inlamb and hoggets, and were practically all of a poor class of sheep, being either uncertan aged sorts or very backward in condition. The attendance was fair and taking into consideration the quality of the sheep a good sale resulted. Prices were:—Fat crossbred wethers 23s 6d to 265. fat crossbred ewes 19s 3d to 20s, mixed sex hoggets (poor condition) los 3d to 16s Id, wether hoggets 13s lOd to 15s 2d,, crossbred ewes (mixed ages and low condition) in lamb 20s Id to 20s 4d, failing to aged ditto l&s 3d to 19s 2d. Twenty head of cattle were yarded, chiefly cows, with a few yearlings. Prices were:—Fat cows £8 to £10, springers £6 17s 6d to £9, aged cows £4 2s 6d, yearlings £3 9s.
