EAST OXFORD.
.Tho monthly-meeting of the Oxford branch of Ihe W.C.T.U. was held in tho Coronation Hall last week. The President presided, and there was a largo attendance of members. A good deal of business was transacted, after which the secretary presented her report of the recent Convention, for which she received a hearty vote of thanks. ' The .junior Band of Hopo, held under the auspices of the Oxford branch of the W.C.T.U.. closed its \.inter session on Saturday afternoon. *In spito of the bad weather a good number were present anil an enjoyable time was spent. The Rev. Mr Duncombe presided, and the children.provided the programme, after which* refreshments were handed round. Tho session has been- very successfiU 'throughout, and ihe children are looking forward to next winter's meetings.
