THE POSTMASTER-GENERAL.
Tho Hon. R- Heaton Rhodes, Post-master-General, who has been spending tho week-end at his homo at Tai Tapu, returned to Wellington last night. In a brief interview with a 'Tress" reporter he said ho appreciated the offer of assistance promised by Mr H. G. Ell, the late Postmaster-General. Ho instanced the remarkable success of slot telephones, and said he intended to extend the system. He had bfcens much impressed with their use during his recent trip to, Sydney.
