GOVERNOR'S BAY.

A smoko concert and social was tendered to Mr Robert Allan, of Allandale, on Saturday evening., on the eye, of his marriage. Considering thai tho night was very wet, there was a fair attendance. Mr Allan was presented with a. fine marble clock and a centre table-piece, with many wishes for his future happiness. Ho thanked tho donors for their kind gifts and good wishes. There have been a few landslips on the hills this week, and the lower road is closed on account of a 'bridge having given way. the foundations having been undermined by a flood in one of tho oreoks on the Beach road.
