SYDNEY, January 31. The death ie announced of Dr. Andrew Ross, aged 81, who formerly eat in the Assembly for 25 years. ADELAIDE, January 31. - The death is reported of Sir Charles Todd, aged 84, formerly PostmasterGeneral and Government Astronomer.
The death is announced of Mr H. W. Free, one of the very early Canterbury pion«ers. Mr Free*arrived in this country by the Randolph, one of tho historic first four ships, and wae "4 years of age at the time of his death. He was for many years a resident of Gust, but his death occurred at Christchurch. (PBEBS A&SOCMTIOy TEtECRIU.) WELLINGTON, January 28. The death occurred to-night of Mrs Dwan, aged 80 years, a well-known resident of Wellington for the pes* 30 years. She was relict of the lato Thomas Dwan, who died three years ago, and mother of Messrs Thomas B. and Lamaratine Dwan, of Wellington. The Dwan family came originally from the west coast of the South Tsland to Wellington.
