Horses are being sent back to Pelawmain, while the deputies are getting the mine in order. The mine-owners received the Miners' Federation's request for a conference, but nothing is likely to be done till the ow.ners meet next week. Some of the owners affirm that they will stick to their guns, and will not confer until the men return to work. The owners intend to be represented at the Wages Beard sitting, ond state that it is an open conference. If the miners consent to ba represented also, and then go back to work, the owners will ba willing to confer with them, with the object of shortening tha proceedings at the Wages Board.
