The following is the report of the Talisman Consolidated Mine for the fortnight ended October 9th: — No 11 LeveL —J*o. 8 cross cut: Advanced 08* feet. Total 947 feet. No change to report. No. 10 cross cut: Adv_nced 3_ feet. Total 444 feet. Ground shows no change. No. 1-2 Level.—Stoping: _he values from stopes off No. 5 -is- average 15a 7d. Tons seat to mill 160. Ihe value* from «topea
off No. 12 rise average £0 5s sd. Tons sent to mill 620. Tho stopes on east vein have given values that average _6 11 8 6d. Tons sent to mill 350. No. 13 Level.—South drive: Advanced 4. feet. Total 553 feet. Width of reef 42 inches. Average of assays 3s sd. Discontinued temporarily. North drive: Advanced 19 feet. Total 144 feet. Width of reef 43 inches. (East vein): Average cf assays 18s 2d. Stoping: The quartz along the western side of the south drive has been stripped to the hanging wall. Values from same average fS Se. Tons sent to mil) 120. The values from stopes north of No. 1 north rise average £1 3a cd. Tons sent to mill 40. Shaft.— Sinking was resumed on Ihe 27th September. Progress for the period IP_ feet. Total below river level 464 feet. The ground so far is working welL
