Tlie first annual frenornl mcetinjr of the Lndies' Hockey Club in connection with Miss Digby's Shorthand and Commercial School w;is hold at tho Grain Agency Buildings on Saturday, thero Wing a large attendance of members. The report stated that tho result of the first year's working of the club was very satisfactory, the membership totalling 49. Tin- bal;>nce-sheet showed a credit balance of £4 11s 10d. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Tho following officers were elected:— President, Miss E. E. Digby ; vicepresidents. Messrs O. Laurenson. M.P., Vγ. E. Rest, and N. Goldsbury: taon. secretary and treasurer. Miss M. D. Di^bv: hon. auditor. Mr A. C. Dunn : committee. Misses L. Rowe. B. Clemens. X. Jowett. W". Redmavne. and Mr K. Johnston ; club captain. Miss 1... Rowe : delegate to Canterbury Ladies' Hockey Association, Miss M. D. Dighy. Mr \V. E. Host was unanimously re-elected coach.
