OAMARU GRAIN AND PRODUCE MARKETS.

(srraAL to "thb pbess.") OAMARU, September 20. There has been no change in the local wheat market, save that millers have been enquiring a little moro freely for wheat, though disinclined to pay the prices asko- by holders. Sales have been mado at 4s lsd and 4s 2d, delivered at town stores, and at 4s 2d at cidings, less commission, tho largest transaction affecting 500 sacks of velvet, for which tho last named price was given. Tho quantity of grain held here is now becoming somewhat limited. Oats have improved a little, but thero is no business doing. Milling 03ts have been bought at Is" lOd net at sidings and another prime lot at. Is 9d. Shipping sales havo been made at 2s f.0.b., sacks in. Potatoes have eased, and £3 5s is now about tho value at fanners' sidings, lor northern ports other centres are underselling Oamaru. and the best price obtained hero during the week was £4 2s 6d f.0.b.. while yesterday business was done at £3 17s Gd and £4, f.0.b., sacks in. Private advices report that new Sydney potatoes have arrived in Wellington.
