At Rangiora about ninety attended the meeting. Mr CI W. Bell, Mayorelect, presided.' . " A motion was carried to the effect that a strong protest be sent to the Minister for Education, regarding the unfulfilled' promise to provide" a suitable technical school on the site granted by the School. Committee. .Mr D. Ruddo, M.P., informed tho meeting that he had recently" received a letter from the Minister for. Education in which he promised to inform him of the sum set aside for the work, which it was intended to proceed with. . A motion to extend the school dinner hour to an hour and a half provoked a long discussion. It. was lost by a large majority. > Seventeen were nominated - for tho committee, and the following were elected:—Rev,.F. P. Fendall, R. Ball, J. Marshall, H. Boyd, C. I. Jennings, J. Sansom, W. H.. Foster, J. O. Jo.iling, and W. H. Luxton. Mr Boyd was elected chairman, and Mr J. B. Wilson was reappointed secretary.
