ST. PETERSBURG, May 17. A police officer named Zhdonoff was killed in the streets of Tamboff in revenge for his brutal treatment of Marie Spiridovna, who was sentenced to death for the murder of the Vice-Governor, and subjected to awful tortures to compel her to confess.
