CLEARING SALE AT METHVEN.
Me_r«i Friedlander Bros., Ltd., held ' a clearing sale at Met liven on account of Mr Jas. McCrenor, when all lote offered met with brisk competition. The sale was started by offering tho farms at Lyndhunst, which consisted of 430 acres of freehold, and goodwill of lease of reserves containing A\~j acres. Both properties failed to reach ve.ndor\- ' reserve by auction, but the freeholu was sold privately afterwards to Mr I. Driimmond, at £14 5s per acre. Tho following i.s a summary of tho priors obtained:—Sheer) —1100 Store lambs ltf--3d to l'fe od, 150 fat ewes 12.-:, 550 fat lambs los 4d, 80 fat wet hens 17s, 115 I cull lambs 10_».
