Farmers at Ashburton are now busy threshing out of .stack, and in the majority of oriisr-s the grain is coming in in exceptionally fine condition. Some few, however, although they have left the grain in stack for five or six weeks, aro still delivering grain badly out of condition, showing that the wheat this year contain-; an unusual amormt of moisture. Millers have been active buyers, while merchants aliso have purchased froelv, with the consequence that prices have risen fully ono paiuiy per bushel, yesterday's quotations being:—Tuscan 3s to 3s Id, velvet 2s lid to 3s, Hunter's 2s lfkl to 2s lid.
