SYDENHAM v DUNEDIN.
(press association- telegram.) DUXEDIN, April 14. A match between Sydenham (Ghristchurch) and a team from the Dunedin Club, was played on the Caledonian Ground to-day, in the pr<?6cnce of a good number of spectator*. Tho piay for the mo?t part was devoid of much iutere-st. though there were 0003----fional flashes of good form on the part of tiw local hacks. Not lonff after the game started, from a good passing rush on the part of Dunedin, Teesdale got the hall, and be&ting tlvrce of the northern back*, scored between tie posts. H. Paton converted. The ispell waf> much in favour of the local team, who were playing with a light wind in their favour. On changing ends the visitors eJiifted play to the Diinedin quarters, but failed "to break down the defence. H. Paton got over the line from a throw in, but no goal was kicked.
