COURTENAY.

The Courtenay Road Board met un March 27th. Present—Messrs 0. Budd (cheinnan), G. Watson, G. Sandrey, G. Bedford, and J. A. Halmes. Correspondence was received from the Templeton branch of the Farmers' XTnion, - forwarding copy of • reeolution passed by that ' hody, to the effect that it would be in toe best interests of farmen and ratepayers generally if wheat for the destruction or small birds was poisoned by the Board's own emp'oyee*. It was resolved to reply that the Board had made arrangements for poisoning wheat for use during the current year. It was decided to hold the next meeting of the Board on May let, at 11.30 a.m., the annual meeting of the Board at noon, toe annual general meeting of ratepayers at 1.90 p.m. same date, and an election of four members of the Board on May 3rd. Accounts amount, ing to £182 Sβ 4d were pawed for payment. . ' '
