CHRISTCHURCH CYCLE CORPS. • The annual smoke concert and prize presentation of tho Christchurch Cyclists' Corps was held last Friday night in the Corps's orderly room, Lieutenant Commander Finn is presiding, and Colour-Sorgeant Hopkins occupying the vice-chair. In addition to a full muster of the Company, there were present a number of officers and friends of tho Corps. The room was decorated with costly flags and floral designs. Several toasts were honoured, and tho following prizes wero presented by the officers commanding:—Shooting, A Class, Field Match: Corporal White 1, Sergeant Muschamp 2, Cyclist Shepherd 3. B Class: Cyclist Mehrtens 1, Cyclist Troupe 2, Cyclist Green 3. Company Morris-tube Match: Lance-Cor-poral Soales 1, Cyclist Shepherd 2, Sergeant Muschamp 3, Privates' Morristube Match: Cyclist Troupe 1, Cyclist Robinson 2. Non-Corns.' Morris-tube Match: Colour-Sergeant Hopkins 1, Corporal White 2. Highest Aggregate in Morris-tube Matches for Season: Sergeant Hartigan. Signalling: Corporal White 1, Corporal Simms 2. Topography (Colonel Day's special prize): Corporal Simms 1, Lance-Cor-poral Sutton 2. Scouting (officers' prize): Cyclist Spencer 1. Efficiency and Clean Accoutrements (right section): Cyclist Shepherd; (left section): Cyclist Aldersley. A number of marksmen's badges and service stars wero presented. Colonel Day highly eulogised the Corps's work at the Easter manoeuvres, and also gave somo valuable hints and advice. Ex-Sergeant Poison was presented by the officers of the Corps with a case of Loewe pipes, while Colour-Sergeant Hopkins presented his late oomrade, on behalf of the men of the Company, with a fruit stand suitably engraved. Lieutenant Foster informed the Corps that their old friend Captain-Surgeon Parsons was 6lowly regaining his eyesight, and that he wished to be remembered. The announcement was received with three ringing cheers for the surgeon. Several instrumental and vocal items were contributed.
