BAD ROAD METAL.

TO THB EDITOB OF THE PHESS. - Sir,—Seeing that our newly-elected Mayor is of a scheming turn of mind, I would like to suggest that he endeavour to draw up a scheme for sifting "muck" of a sharp nature out of the destructor rubbish before it is strewed about- the roads. The way it is thrown about at present is an abomination to Greater Christchurch, and our worthy City Council. Cyclists especially are being annoyed by this nuisance, eor.tin_ally getting pieces of tram rails, etc., run into their tyres. Trusting something will soon be done, —Yours, etc., NORTH BELT CYCLIST.
