A telegram from Nogyvared, Hungary, states that a band of Socialists obstructed an Independence Party meeting, using revolvers. They killed the Commander of the gendarmerie sent to quell tbe disturbance. The gendarmes thereupon volleyed, killing twenty-three and wounding forty men.
