y. HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received April 25th, 11.15 p.m.) LONDON, April 25. A telegram from Nogyvared, Hungary, states that a band of Socialists obstructed an Independence Party meeting, using revolvers. They killed the Commander of the gendarmerie sent to quell tbe disturbance. The gendarmes thereupon volleyed, killing twenty-three and wounding forty men.
