LABOUR ON THE RAND.
CONTRACTS FOR CONVEYANCE OF COOLIES. United Press Association—By Electric ; Telegraph—Copyright. (Received April 36th, 1.3 a.m.) LONDON, April 25. The "Times" states that contracts for six steamers are being arranged, eacflto carry two thousand vaccinated Chinese coolies to South Africa. Insurance is to bd at the rate of twenty-five pounds a bead. Tbe contracts indicate that ultimately tbe carriage of -two hundred thousand coolies is contemplated.
