SWIMMING.
The Christehurch Amateur Swimming Club's annual smoke concert and presentation of prizes took place on Friday. Mr Geo. Harris (president) occupied the chair, and there' was a large gathering of members. Prizes were presented to the following:—'A.. Burns, first Christmas Handicap, second President's Handicap, first Southbridge Inter-club, first Southbridge Novel first-Lytteiton Relay; J. S. Hilson, first November Handicap, first Lytteiton Relay; R. Ronayne, first Harris Cup (junior); T. Bain, first October Handicap, and'second.Quarter-mile Handicap; C. E. Clark, first Quarter Mile Handicap; J. Rodger, Ladies' Bracelet, and second October Handicap; W. .Bolderness, first President's/Handicap attdjMr Harris's special prize for third Christmas Handicap; G. L. Bull, first Christehurch Handicap; R. Mortimer,' first Juni'ot Inter : club Handicap.; R. McCostsmith, secjond Christchurch Handicap; R. Kerr, second Junior Inter-club Handicap; D. West, first Diving ; Lancaster Park Relay Team (Merton. Mander,. Scott-Colville, •: McDowall), and first Relay Race; East Christehurch Flying .Squadron team, first Harris Cup; P. Harvey, second Christmaa Handicap, fisst P. Rundle. second November Handicap; W. Barrell, second -Ladies' > Bracelet; W. Relay Race; H. Hbldemeas, first-Adding- - ton Relay Race. During the evening several songs and musical items were contributed, and a number of, toasts werr honoured.
