The stations for which supplies are required are indicated. Forms of tender and conditions of contract con be bad in the colony on application to the Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce, Wellington. An important land sale of the Whataupoko Estate; Poverty Bay, will take plao» at Gisborne oa December 19th. The estate comprises about 4000 acres. The entries for the New Brigh toil nquatio sports, on Saturday, December sth, close at Mr C J. Marshall's office before 8 p.m. on Saturday next.

A special general meeting of the Philosophical Institute will be held in the Biological Lecture Theatre at 8 p.m. At this meeting two representatives will be elected on tho Board of Governors of the New Zealand Institute.

A meeting of the Employers' -Assoc-t----tiorrwill be held at the office, Cashel street, this evening, at eight o'clock.
