Merivale A defeated North Canterbury by 3to nil. Smith scored a tiy for the winners. The match, Kaiapoi v Merivale, resulted in a win for the former team by 5 to 3. For the winners Tomkin scored a try, which Templeton converted, and for the loserx a try was obtained by Judge. Richmond defeated Linwood by 12 to nil. Scorers of tries for tha winners were Herring, West, and Nixon. A penalty gcal was kicked by Selwood. Christchurch Third beat Albion by 15 points (a goal from a try, a potted goal, and two trie.*) to nil- Tries were scored for the winners by Pearson, Cotton, and Cardale. McClatcuie potted a goal from the field, and Jones converted one try.
