Linwood defeated Christchurch by 27 to 5. Tries for Linwood were obtained by Clarke (1), Howarth (2), Slattery (2), Evans (1). Howell converted two tries and a penalty, and C. Evans kicked a goal from a try. The Christchurch score was from a penalty goal. Merivale wa«< victorious over Albion by 4 points (a goal potted by Dunn) to 3 (penalty goal kicked by Henry). Sydenham v Richmond was won by Sydenham by 21 points to nil. H. Love at full-back, W. Round and L. Thomas threequarters, A. Milne half, and Fitzgerald, 1-lbert, and Watson, forwards, played well for Sydenham, and Meadows aud Selwood played well for Richmond. Mr A. E. Phillips was referee. The match Canterbury College against Sydenham was easily won by the former by li points to nil. In the first spell the only try scored was ono by Fell, but Kissell's shot at goal failed. During the second spell Treweek scored one try, and Kissell one try. Kissell attempted the goal kicks in each case, the latter being successful. Tho Canterbury College team, Kissell particularly, played a sound and free game, but the Sydenham team were decidedly weak, and on no occasion during the game were really dangerous.
