COURTENAY.
At the Courtenay Road Board meeting there were present —Messrs H. A. Knight (Chairman), Sandrey, Wutson, acdyßedford. Correspondence was received from the Seiwyn County Council requesting to be furnished with" an account of the Board's expenditure in connection with the destruction of small birds. The account, amounting to £124 6s 3d, was ordered to be forwarded. Wiui the view of enforcing the
bj*-I*w_. the clerk was instructed to communicate wth the owners of unlicensed traction engines working in the district. The amount of outstanding rates being considerable, the clerk was instructed to take legal proceedings after the 16th in*!.
