In consequence of the Mount Brown estate near Amberley belonging to Mr James Innes having been sold to Mr W. Bus*, who lias re -sold the principal part to Mr A. W. Birch, _n English gentleman, a sale of the stock, etc., was held: on Tuesday, at the homestead, by Dalgety and Co., associated with the New Zealand Fanners' Go-operative Association. There .-as a good attendance. A large proportion of tlie stock was purchased by Mr Birch. Prieee were: —677 two-tooth three-quarter-bred ewes 14s lOd, 675 two-tooth halfbred ewes 14s lld, 67S four-tooth do do 14s 9d, 451 six-tooth do do 16s Id, 1011 four-tooth crossbred ewes 14s 9d, 803 four-year-old -crossbred ewes 12s lld, 617 four-year-old nalfbred ewes 15s 4d, 605 five-•rear-old do do 10s 4d, 500 store lambs 10s 3d. 554 six-tooth crossbred ewe* 13a _d, 1212 fat lambs 14s 2d. 500 store lambs 8* Id, 600 do do 7a lld. 132 fat wethers and maiden ewes 16s 3d, 70 killing sheep 13s Id, 70 culled lambs 5s sd, nuns from _gn to lign. Horees—Draughts £39 10s, £42 to £45, geldings £24 to £25, three-year filly £20, backs and ______ horses £6 15s to
£10. Cows £7 2_ 6d to £8 ss, heifers £7 ss. steers £6 I£_.
Messrs Baker Bros, recently sold a section l-16th of an acre in area, situated almost opposite Manning and Company* brewery, for £175, or at the rate of £1800 per acre. They Jiave also sold a quarteracre section is Rugby «tre*t, 6t. Albans, ter £210.
