A REMARKABLE SAFETY LAMP. VIENNA, March 16. Professor Molisch, of Prague, has submitted to the Vienna Academy of Sciences a new miners' safety lamp. It is made of glassware, and has a saltpetre and gelatine lining, which the Professor inoculates with bacteria. These soon increase until they are innumerable, and product* a bluish-green light, remaining brilliant for three weeks. IRISH LAND BILL. (Reoeived March 17th, 11.32 p.m.) LONDON, March 17. Germany, has 40,000 trained seamen liable to serve in war time* Twelve thousand mm enter and five thousand leave active service annually.
