WALTHAM.
The Waltham School Committee meeting was attended by Messrs C. V- Harvey (chairman), Mortiock, Eldridge, Recce, Gow, Wraight, Clifford, and Sim. The Headmaster reported the average at-
tendance for the past four weeks was 451, the number on the roll being 535. Letters were read and received from the Board granting the Committee's application for extra desk accommodation, and also informing the Committee that the Board had dtcided to invita tenders for erecting a caretaker's cottaga for the school. The incidental account was reported in credit £8 3s 9d, and accounts to the amount of £1 17e 9d were pasfl&l for payment. Messrs Besley and Recce were*ap*pointed Visiting Committee for next month. It was decided that a quarter acre at the south-east corner of the grounds be selected as a site for the caretaker's house.
