SUMNER BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The Sumner Borough Council met last evening. Present—Crs. Pratt (in the chair). Senior, Rovell, Drew, and Maffey. Certain complaints regarding sanitary matters were dealt with. Discussion with reference to the appointment of a delegate from Sumner to tile conference of local bodies to fix the weekly half-holiday followed. It was moved by Cr. Maffey that Cr. Pratt be appointed, the motion subsequently being amended to that he be instructed to vote for Thursday. Cr. Pratt declined to act unless given a free band. After further discussion the appointment waa held over for a fuller meeting. The treasurer's statement showed receipts amounting to £145 16s 9id since last meeting; outstanding accounts totalled £575 Is 10d; total bank overdraft £178 4s Id. Accounts totalling £37 10s 5d were passed for payment.
