At the Rangiora Borough Council on day, Crs. Foster, Keir and Good, the newly elected Councillors, took their seats. The Ashley Road Board wrote, forwarding an account for maintenance of the bridge and protective works, amounting to £25 18s 4d. It was decided to ask for some particulars respecting it. Mr Helmone, solicitor, wrote, stating that he bed prepared a Water Supply Bill for the Council, and forwarding c copy of the same. A deputation, consisting of the members of the School Committee attended the meeting, urging that a public bath should be provided by the Council as soon as possible.
