THE BOER PLAN OF ATTACK.
The railway at Elands laager having already been destroyed by a handful of Boer cavalry, in order to prevent Eadysmith ..assisting Glencoe, at six o'clock on Friday, in clear weather, 4000 men, witfi four guns, from Utrecht and Dejagersdrift, occupied Impoti Hill, 800 feet high, and three miles eaet of Glencoe, also overlooking Dundee. The Boers then began to fire plugged shell harmlessly into the British camp.
Joubert's plan was for the Free Staters to attack Sir G. White's main body at Ladysmith while the Utrecht force and main columns attacked Glencoe, but only the Utrecht force was engaged.
