ASHBURTON.
Thursday, September 22. (Before C. A. Wray, Esq., S.M.) Supplying a Prohibited Person.—Alex. Harrison, for whom Mr Crisp appeared, was fined £4 and costs on a charge of supplying a prohibited person with liquor. Alaintenanck.—Goo. Porkin, for failing to obey an order of the Court to contribute towards the maintenance of his mother, was sentenced to seven days' imprisonment. Civil Cases.—J. W. Hardley vA. J. Muller, claim £15 for sinking a well. This case was partly heard at the last sitting of the Court, and was now again adjourned for the production of additional expert evidence as to whether the contract had been satisfactorily carried out. Carroll v Gray, claim £3 8s; judgment for plaintiff- with costs. Harris v Cass, claim £15; judgment for rlaintiff, with costs. J. _'. M. Fraser v John McKeague, claim £17 10s on a judgment summons. An order was made for the payment of 2s 6d per week. Mr Purnell appeared for plaintiff.
