Among the passengers by the Tarawera is Captain Brand, brother of the Governor, who is en route to England. A DISASTROUS HURRICANE. The hurricane which was so disastrously felt in New Caledonia also wrought great damage in the New Hebrides. The crops were destroyed, and Dr. Lamb's medical mission suffered considerable damage. The mission launch Ethel was driven ashore and destroyed. , Received March POth, 4.45 p.m. OBITUARY. Brisbane, March 20. Colonel the Hon. Sir Arthur H. Palmer, Lieutenant - Governor of Queensland, is dead.
