ANGLERS' CLUB.
Tlie proposal to establish an Anglers' Club at Temuka has met with general favour. The provisional Committee to enquire as to the support likely to be-ac-corded have ascertained that about thirty anglers and others had intimated a desire to join a Club if formed. The proposals embrace the establishment of a Club room furnished with the local paper* and - journals devoted to angling, &c. it is thought that the use of sucli a room will be of advantage not only to local anglers, but alsb to visitors, who may desire to avail themselves of information as to useful baits/ condition of rivers, &c, and further that a means will be afforded of keeping a really reliable record of takes during each season.
