AVON.
The quarterly meotingof the Licensing Committee for the Avon district was held at the Linwood Borough Council office on Saturday. Present—Messrs H. W. Bishop (Chairman), W. Ensom, Jos. Taylor, H. Emmett, and T. E. Fr&ser. The police reports on the respective houses in the district were satisfactory. The temporary cransfer of the license of the New Brighton Hotel from Mrs E. F. Murray to Timothy Lyons was not confirmed. Tne Committee then adjourned.
