It is unlikely that another Conference will take place between the shipowners and the Federated Seamen's Union for the sefc tlement of the wages dispute on the lines oi the Conciliation Board's award. The sea-, men are strongly dieinclined to give way on the clause objected to by the shipowners, as they, claim that the concessions already made are far below those to which they are entitled.
