PROPOSED PRESENTATION TO THE PREMIER.
A_ well-attended meeting was held in .. ellington laßt *'&*> to consider the question of making a presentation to the Hon. «* wddon, on the occasion of his fiftieth
birthday on the 22nd of June next. The proposal was taken up with great heartines3. A draft address was submitted and approved, and it was decided to have it engrossed in tho same form as that presented to Sir George Grey on his eightieth birthday. The signatures which wiil be obtained to the address w:ll be bound iv album form, the covers of which, it is propised, shall bo made of New Zealaud woods. It is pro'iabio that the presentation will be mivdu at a publio meeting called for the occasion.
