Wβ have to record the death of Mt William dv Moulin, a well-known an J respected resident of Rangiora, who bw
attained over the age of three score and ten. Iα l at seven years of age, the dec-ased gentleman went out to Sydney with his father, who was surgeon to one of the usgimeata. As he up Mr dv Moulin visited the many goldhelda, and after a varied experience he came to Canterbury in 1853. Becoming acquainted with .JUr Alfred Cox that gentleman eDgaged Air iv Moulin to select land for him. He left Cbrhiehmen with a bullock dray, and after seveu weeks crossing tha Piams he name to GeraUline aud selected the Kaukapusa station, of which he became manager. A*r iv Moulin was aUo afterwards manager ot Racecourse HiH .sfalion, and subsequently Lochinvar. Whilst at this rtatiou there w *s a severe snow storm, winch suowed ah hauds in for three jr.onths. Ho became manager of St. lisicivs iv Amun district, Bad :7i IS7I retired to a less active life in Raogiora, where, with his v.'ife, daugiiter alid tv.-o sou, v.-ho lament his death, he res : ded.
