AN HONORARIUM OF J2240 A YEAR. (By Telegraph.) (from our special correspondhnt.) WELLINGTON, July 22. Several Government supporters are urging Ministers to introduce a Payment to Members Bill, providing for members getting J. 240 a year, or £20 per month for their services. It is stated if the Bill is introduced it will not come into force till January Ist next, as provision is already made for extra honorarium during the present session, which is the second one this year. Later. Twenty members waited on the Premier at 10.30 to-night with respect to the Payment to Members Bill, when Mr Ballance agreed to introduce such a measure providing payment at the rate of J8240 per year, in place of the present honorarium, 150 guineas per session.
