Sir Francis Dillon Bell haa booked a passage for New Zealand by the steamer Arawa, leaving in October next. THE WESLEYAN PRESIDENT. Dr. Bowman Stephenson has been elected President of the Wesleyan Conference as successor to Rev. W. F. Moulton. [Dr. Stephenson was born at Newcastle-on-Tyne in 1839, and is consequently in his fifty-second year. He is considered to be a leader of the progressive section of Methodism, and is well known in the colonies in connection with his "Children's Homes." There are now eleven or twelve departments in London and the provinces in which efforts are made for the benefit of homeless and destitute children, young women and many others. He has also taken an active part in the promotion of "sisterhood-" for carrying on religious and charitable work.
